Tenby
Barafundle Sandy Beach

Barafundle Bay (N.T.) (left) voted as one of the most beautiful beaches in Britain with a magnifcent wide sweep of golden sands – blowholes at Stackpole Head prove a spectacular sight at high tides.
Just inland the Bosherston Lily Ponds burst into bloom in late May - a Monet type landscape - crossed by a network of footbridges.
Visit the world class fine sandy beach of Broad Haven, edged by rocks and the beautiful open sandy beach of Freshwater West – a surfers paradise. Tenby (above) is the jewel in the crown of south Pembrokeshire with a picturesque harbour overlooked by Georgian and Regency town houses and 2 beautiful sandy Blue Flag beaches separated by a headland - the largest, South Beach, has a clear view of Caldey Island – famous for the perfume made by the monks of the Cistercian Monastry and accessible by boat from Tenby during the summer.

Many of our guests may find Tenby, Saundersfoot and Lydstep rather busy in high summer as all three have large caravan sites nearby but their natural beauty (all are within the South Pembrokeshire National Park) is best explored in spring and autumn if you prefer peace and seclusion.
One of the finest yachting centres in Wales can be found at Saundersfoot, with broad quays and safe anchorage - the wide sands of the Bay are very popular with windsurfers
The starting point for the 187 mile long Pembrokeshire Coast Path – the only coastal National Park in the United Kingdom - is from the Blue Flag Beach at Amroth.
The 6 mile long stretch of hard, firm sands at Pendine - the scene of many world record land speed attempts, some by Sir Malcolm Campbell, are recorded in the motor museum.
The Haven Waterway extends some 30 miles inland. The lower reaches are dominated by the port of Pembroke Dock and the refinery jetties, but further inland the waters are a paradise for watersports enthusiasts, and a scatuary for wildlife. The numerous inlets called Pills offer miles of
footpaths to explore in the most delightful countryside. Much of the countryside surrounding the waterway is protected as National Park.
